Thirst in the desert
Early seeking of God; soul clings to him as in a dry land where there is no water.

O God, my God, to thee do I watch, from before break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways! … My soul shall be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.
