Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the chair of pestilence: but his will is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he shall meditate day and night.

O Lord our Lord, how admirable is thy name in the whole earth! … When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man that thou art mindful of him?

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? … But thou, O Lord, remove not thy help to a distance from me; look towards my defence. … All the ends of the earth shall remember, and shall be converted to the Lord.

The Lord ruleth me: and I shall want nothing. He hath set me in a place of pasture. … Yea though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me.

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? … One thing I have asked of the Lord, this I seek: to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life.

I will extol thee, O Lord, for thou hast upheld me: and hast not made my enemies to rejoice over me. … For wrath is in his indignation; and life in his good will. In the evening weeping shall have place, and in the morning gladness.

As the hart panteth after the fountains of water; so my soul panteth after thee, O God. … Hope in God, for I will still give praise to him: the salvation of my countenance, and my God.

God is our hope and strength, a very present help in trouble. … The Lord of hosts is with us: the God of Jacob is our protector. … Be still, and know that I am God.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. … Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my spirit. … A sacrifice to God is an afflicted spirit: a contrite and humbled heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

Shall not my soul be subject to God? for from him is my salvation. For he is my God and my saviour: he is my protector, I shall be moved no more. … God hath spoken once, these two things have I heard, that power belongeth to God, and mercy to thee, O Lord.

O God, my God, to thee do I watch, from before break of day. For thee my soul hath thirsted; for thee my flesh, O how many ways! … My soul shall be filled as with marrow and fatness: and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.

How lovely are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! … Blessed is the man whose help is from thee … They shall go from virtue to virtue: the God of gods shall be seen in Sion.

He that dwelleth in the aid of the Most High, shall abide under the protection of the God of heaven. … Because he hoped in me I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath known my name.

Sing joyfully to God, all the earth: serve ye the Lord with gladness. Come in before his presence with exceeding great joy. Know ye that the Lord he is God: he made us, and not we ourselves. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and let all that is within me bless his holy name. … Who forgiveth all thy iniquities: who healeth all thy diseases. … The Lord is merciful and gracious: patient and plenteous in mercy.

I have loved, because the Lord will hear the voice of my prayer. … What shall I render to the Lord for all the things he hath rendered unto me? I will take the chalice of salvation; and I will call upon the name of the Lord.

I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me. My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. … The Lord keepeth thee, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.

Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord: Lord, hear my voice. … With the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Lord, thou hast proved me, and known me: thou hast known my sitting down, and my rising up. … If I take my wings early in the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there also shall thy hand lead me: and thy right hand shall hold me.

Praise ye the Lord in his holy places: praise ye him in the firmament of his power. … Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Alleluia.
