Apollinaris Claudius (died 2nd century) was Bishop of Hierapolis in Phrygia who wrote brilliant defenses of Christianity. He addressed his famous Apologia to Emperor Marcus Aurelius, highlighting how Christian prayers helped win victory over the Quadi through the Thundering Legion miracle.
