Clement of Ancyra (died 312) was Bishop of Ancyra in Asia Minor during the Great Persecution under Diocletian. He endured severe tortures including having his flesh scraped with iron combs, yet refused to renounce his faith. After years of imprisonment and torture, he was finally beheaded. His steadfast endurance of prolonged suffering made him a powerful example of Christian fortitude. His martyrdom inspired many other Christians facing persecution.
