John Francis Regis was a French Jesuit who dedicated his life to mission work (1597-1640). He preached in remote rural areas, often in harsh weather conditions. Known for his care of the poor and marginalized. He established hostels and schools, transforming communities through his ministry. He died of exhaustion while on mission at age 43.
