Early Christian evangelist and companion of Saints Paul and Barnabas who wrote the Gospel of Mark.
John Mark was a early Christian evangelist and author of the Gospel of Mark (died around 68). He initially accompanied Paul and Barnabas but left their mission early, causing a disagreement. Later reconciled with Paul, he became a trusted companion. He served as interpreter for Peter and wrote his Gospel based on Peters preaching.
