Life and witness

Louis was a French prince who became a Franciscan bishop (1274-1297). Son of Charles II of Naples, he renounced his claim to the throne to follow Christ. He became a Franciscan and was appointed Bishop of Toulouse. Known for his care of the poor and simple lifestyle. He died young at 23, having lived intensely for God.
