Russian Orthodox holy fool who practiced radical humility and prophetic ministry in medieval Pskov.
Nicholas Salos lived as a holy fool in Pskov during the 16th century (died 1576). He practiced extreme asceticism and appeared mentally disturbed to outsiders while maintaining deep spirituality. Known for his prophetic gifts and care for the poor. He challenged social conventions through his radical lifestyle. Venerated in Russian Orthodox tradition as a blessed fool for Christ.
