A former slave who returned to Ireland with the Trinity and baptism for a people he once feared.
Patrick (c. 385–461) was captured from Britain, enslaved in Ireland, escaped, and later returned as a missionary bishop. His Confession narrates grace overcoming resentment. He is associated with teaching the Trinity through humble images and establishing Christian communities across Ireland.
