English Jesuit priest martyred at Tyburn during the persecution of Catholics under King James I.
Thomas Garnet was an English Jesuit priest (1575-1608) and nephew of Gunpowder Plot conspirator Henry Garnet. Despite the danger, he ministered secretly to English Catholics during the persecution. He was arrested, tortured, and executed at Tyburn for his priesthood and alleged connection to the Gunpowder Plot.
