A Carmelite novice who taught the “little way” of love in hidden acts and trust.
Thérèse Martin (1873–1897) entered Carmel at fifteen and died of tuberculosis at twenty-four. Her Story of a Soul describes doing small things with great love. She is a Doctor of the Church and patroness of missions through prayer.
