Veronica Giuliani was an Italian Capuchin abbess (1660-1727) who experienced extraordinary mystical phenomena including the stigmata, which she bore for 30 years. She had over 4,000 recorded visions of Christ passion and wrote extensively about her spiritual experiences. She served as abbess of her convent for 34 years.
